ABOUT THERAPY

In any given moment we have two options: To step forward into growth or to step back into safety.

                                 - Abraham Maslow

Often the decision to seek mental health counseling is not an easy one. Many times it comes as a result of or in the midst of difficult life circumstances and the emotional pain related to those circumstances.

Research shows the relationship between client and therapist is one of the most critical components of effective counseling.  When a client does not feel comfortable and connected to their counselor, the therapy inevitably fails. Clients will know by the end of the initial session if the therapist is a good fit.

Trust is built through authentic interactions and my style is encouraging, engaging and collaborative. My goal is to work with individuals to empower them to heal from their past wounds, find freedom from areas of struggle, grow in confidence and improve relationships so that may go on to lead fulfilling and purposeful lives.

Through the use of various psychotherapy methods and collaborative treatment measures, my clients develop life-changing habits to help them cope with many of life’s various obstacles. My therapy sessions are designed to address personal issues and provide clients with effective tools to be the best version of themselves that they can be and THRIVE.
